Unique engineering + quality = healthy floors

While now days most installers of floating floors know about the standard click-together boards, the R&D team for Wicanders’ brand took years to create its patented CorkLoc® system. The team felt it’s important to make sure they use quality materials and engineering so that each of their floors lasts for decades.

They designed planks that feature tongue-and-groove center fiberboards on all four sides. Each edge is is then sealed with a natural paraffin-based sealant system called Cork Protect®. The seal seamlessly vacuum locks against moisture and debris without using any harsh glues or chemicals. And, because cork oak is naturally impenetrable to moisture, mildew, fungus, dirt, debris, and insects– it pretty much makes Wicanders one of the healthiest floors around.
